Why is it important to use Creative Commons media? How might a blogger take advantage of Creative Commons as both a user and a creator?

It’s important to use Creative Commons media so the blogger can avoid any unnecessary lawsuits or copyright fees. Even if they take down a post after realizing their mistake, it may be too late. Having to pay for a picture that you might even have to take down could be unnecessarily stressful and just avoidable all together. Creative Common seems to make it easy for users to search for pictures they may be able to post. While it may be somewhat of a hassle, it may be worth it to avoid any troubles.

It’s also important because then, creators of those pictures may feel safe about the copyrights of their works not being violated. If they have copyrighted their pictures then they obviously are trying to ensure that no one uses their pictures without his/her permission. So essentially, the creator could take advantage of Creative Commons by helping to ensure that his/her wishes are fulfilled. So that, the creator’s picture isn’t used or altered in a way that they were not intending.

Creative Common helps both the user and creator by protecting them both from any unnecessary problems.
